21 Day Fix...what's it REALLY all about?!
I'm sure by now you have heard of Beachbody's best selling program, 21 Day Fix, and for good reason! There are so many things I love about this program...but what I love most is that it's not only FUN, but so EFFECTIVE!
So let me break it down a bit farther for you!
The program revolves around the theory that it takes 21 days to successfully create a healthy habit, and was created by National Academy of Sports Medicine certified celeb trainer Autumn Calabrese. This plan combines portion control with regular physical activity to promote healthy weight loss in three weeks,
The nutrition portion of program is based on a color coded container system for making organizing your diet easier. In other words, you have a set of containers of different sizes and colors that you will use to allot your food portions each day. What does that mean? The sizes tell you how much you can eat, and the colors tell you the type of food...SIMPLE!
The exercise program is broken down into a calendar of different 30 minutes routines per day, utilizing some light weights, all while giving you variety while maintaining consistency!
Why do you need both daily exercise AND a nutrition plan? I'll explain!
When you plan on losing weight, working out is super important of course, but did you know that more that 70% of your results will come from your diet!! By diet I don’t just mean eating nothing but vegetables, but having a healthy mix of foods groups, and proper foods that will fuel your body and give you the energy to power through your workouts. And most importantly, allow you meals that you totally enjoy, keeping you motivated to continue.
